These completed works are less about composition or adherence to any specific media and more about material foreplay. In the most general sense I am a process artist. The materials I use in my wall reliefs are a compilation of a variety of techniques, mediums and recycled objects. I focus heavily on texture and color theory. I have a sincere interest in exploring the dialogue between the delicate and rigid, the malleable and the static. I enjoy expanding on the theme of sustainability by transforming pre-existing "trash" or random items that would otherwise become waste, to then integrate them into my work. It is finding the balance and harmony between processes that achieves a quiet tension I find most interesting.
